THE HUD- Holdem Managers HUD is an insanely powerful tool. Used properly it can dramatically increase your win-rate. The options you have with the layout and stats your display are numerous. Options include the ability to add or remove stats, change fonts sizes & colours, set up colour ranges, changed the mucked cards options including how they are displayed, how long they remain visible & you can also customize the pop-ups. Also available is an Overall table Stat window- this tells you the average table VP$IP (Voluntarily Put Money in the Pot), Average PFR (Pre-Flop Raise), Average pot Size and the last three Hand Winners and Pot Sizes. You can click on a players name in this window to bring up the hand history window. The Hand History Window is an excellent tool, you can quickly check any hand you have played to see precisely how the action went down. Here you can also mark a hand for later review. From here you can also quickly copy the hand history to your clipboard for sharing on forums or with your buddies via email or IM. You also have the ability to import or export your HUD layout for sharing with friends or other Holdem Manager users in forums. You can hover over or click on the HUD to bring up further more detailed stats, for example, if you hovered over a steal stat a pop-up comes up giving you more detailed figures. You also can add a new player to the currently selected player or alias, allowing you the ability to jump between your different screen names with ease. You can also remove names. The Cash game window is where players will spend most of their time analyzing their game. From here you can analyze your performance by position, stakes, preflop cards, sessions, vs. player and many more. This section is an extremely powerful tool for improving your game.
From the cash game window, you can run reports, see your sessions, view graphs, view the hands you have played and much more. The reports can give you tremendous insight into your play, with the ability to run reports on your hole cards, stakes, hands at showdown, position and more. The graphs tab allows you to see graphs which show you in a straightforward way your results. My personal favourite feature here is the ability to select a portion of the graph and replay those hands.
For tournament players, there is the tournament window where you can see results, reports, hands and more. Here you can also see your ROI, ITM, winnings, $/hr, average buy-in amongst other things. The amount of information available will please tournament players.
In both the cash and tournament windows there is a player summary section that you can also filter, for example, you can filter for cash games, No Limit, $0.05/ $1, full ring games with any number of minimum hands, then when you run the report Holdem Manager will bring up the players that fit into the criteria you selected. You can then get a detailed report on these players, and you can also bring up a player detail window which gives you a complete analysis, allowing you to take notes on the player strengths and weaknesses.
